Weekly Rewind: September 16-21

Well, it was an interesting week at the House, but hopefully it is behind us now and..um, yeah. Parenthood. Gotta love it. That's all I'm going to say on the topic. But, hey, I still love my job and wouldn't trade it for anything (though some days I may look/sound like my hair will be pulled out at any given second)!

Here's a look a what went on this week:

{MONDAY}

 Chillin not like a villain ;)

 Looking for Waldo with magnifying glasses - cuteness!

{TUESDAY}

 Showing off their lego building skills

 Playing cars or something outside while I get dinner going

{WEDNESDAY}

What?! No pictures...? Well, that is a shocker...
{THURSDAY}

 I pulled a sneaky move in the car rider line and snapped a pic of my big boy (where the yellow-orange arrow is pointing). Alex and I usually go get Andrew after picking him up, but that little man was out sick. So, it was just Andrew for today. Shhh! No one tell on me! ;)

{FRIDAY}

 Trains, trains, and...

 more trains!

 Playing outside and enjoying the cool breeze before the storm - it is going to be raining all. day. long. tomorrow. Boo.

{SATURDAY}

 It is pouring outside, but there is quite a bit of engineering going on inside! Daddy, Andrew, and Alex are very busy building a train station.

  During nap time and after the boys were in bed for the night, I got to working on the next project for Austin - diy burp cloths! Fun, right?

Around last Christmas, I bought a stack of bar towels for a project that never happened. I found these the other day while cleaning out the laundry room. Ha! And, I used a ton of my scrap fabric leftover from other projects. And, voile! DIY Burp Cloths! Easy. Peasy. Cut, pin, and sew a straight line. Done! Well, almost. I have a few more that I am going to make. And, yes...some of those are pink. I made 2 sets - one for me and one for friend ;)

Next project on the list: crochet chunky afghan!

Hope y'all have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Lego Spider Man Birthday Party Extravaganza {Andrew is 4!!!!!}

WOW!! What a day!! This Sunday was Andrew's birthday party and - wow! That is all I can say! He had a BLAST!!

He told me a few months ago that he wanted a Lego Spider-man party. Lego, sure...no problem! But add in Spider Man?! Ok... Well, thanks to Pinterest, I found a couple of awesome ideas and will definitely be adding some of these pics there for other mamas of boys who throw out 2 themes they want for their next party.

Enjoy the pics! Let me know what you think!!

Oh, and, as usual, thanks for getting some of these pictures, Mom!!

 32 weeks and here's a party bump after church! LOL
And, ahem...I swear I though I cleaned that mirror...ugh. Good thing this is MY bathroom and not the guest bathroom. Haha.

 Birthday boy and mama - he's so big... <3

 Pre-party Packers game. An important element to any fabulous party.

LOL Saw this picture from my mom's facebook! Awesome!

 PARTY TIME!!!!
 I managed to get a few pics fo the awesome party food!
Chocolate Spider Man cupcakes complete with Lego confetti :)

 My most favorite cake - ever! It may not be perfect, but WOW! I'm rather impressed with myself. Spider Man is a bit hard to make...all that webbing, ya know.I made his eyes separate and let them set in the freezer before adding them to the head. Worked out pretty well!

 Lego duplo Spider Man logo (an idea from Pinterest that Andrew and I made)
Spider Man frisbees from the Dollar Tree
And, of course, a Packer wreath (I made that! Click here for making one in your team's colors).

 Party table! You can click on this to make it bigger. We served hot dogs, brats, chips, Jason's homemade salsa, cupcakes, and Lego shaped candies!! They are in that glass jar next to the buns. I found them at Toys R Us in the FAO Swartz candy aisle. Fun! Everything else is pretty much from Party City or the Dollar Tree.

 Another pic of my awesome cake! I am so glad Andrew loved it. He said, "You did a good job, mama!" Love him!

 Presents!!!!

"Happy birthday to you...!!"

 Chocolate cupcake brothers!

Thanks for driving up for the party, Mom and Dad! Here's a picture me and Dad, where 2 of the brothers photo bombed ;) Love that we were all coordinated!! Good times!

We had such a great time with all of our family and friends that could make it! We love you all! Thanks for coming!!

Andrew, we love you so much and can't wait to see what this year will bring!

Weekly Rewind: Sep 8-14

What a great week it was! I finally got the house put back together after our party fun from Andrew's birthday (click here for that post - coming soon!) and pictures are being uploaded right now. But, before you check out the super awesome Lego Spider-man birthday party, check out what we did last week!

{SUNDAY}

 Getting my early morning reading done - and eek! 31 weeks (now I'm at 32!! 7 more to go!!) Awesome.

 Packer Bump

 Pre-Game Fun

 Jason making some salsa - perfecting it for the party next week :)

{MONDAY}

 The boys and I rewarded ourselves for our hard work cleaning the house.
Gotta love Happy Hour at Sonic!

{TUESDAY}

 Ready for fall with Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Kisses! YUM!

 Can't forget an awesome smelling fall candle!

 Awwww!!!! School work from the boys!! Alex (top) learned about the letter B and the number 2. Andrew (bottom) drew a picture of his family! So cute!! Daddy is the one on the left, then Alex, and me. I have a ponytail. I asked him about Austin and he said, "We were supposed to draw faces and he's in your tummy. I don't know what he looks like!"

 Got the party favors done!!

{WEDNESDAY}

 Sleepy boy played hard today

Party Oreos! Andrew requested these for his snack to share at school for his birthday. They are super easy to make. I actually used melted white chocolate chips instead of the candy melts. He loved them!They are pretty festive, too, huh? I think I am going to make some Halloween ones later.

{THURSDAY}

 Went to my doc appointment this morning. And look who was on the bulletin board in my exam room!! It's Alex! My Alex!! :) And my little tiny Andrew!!! Oh my...time flies... They are SO much bigger now.

 Birthday boy at school today!

 The best of friends playing castles and super heroes.

 Helping make some party decorations with duplos. Had to add in the lego part, somehow... :)

{FRIDAY}

 Lego Spider Man cake - made by me in setting in the fridge!

 Nana and Papa arrived with gifts later this afternoon! Andrew was VERY excited to have REAL legos!! He is loving all of the things he can build with all the different kinds of pieces.

 Got the cake frosted! The details will go on in the morning! Looks pretty cool, huh?

{SATURDAY}
 This is just the sweetest. Early morning lego building :)

We headed to the park for a picnic with Nana and Papa since the weather was AWESOME!

Back home to get some party decorations up since I have more than a few set of hands to help! :)

 And, while the boys were busy playing, I got the details take care of on my Lego Spider Man head! SO COOL!!!

 For dinner, Andrew wanted to have chicken a rice, so off we went to Stix for some hibachi! They thought it was pretty cool, though they jumped back a bit (me, too!) when the fire was going on! And, of course when you go to places like this for birthday fun, you HAVE to tell the server that there is a birthday boy at the table. So...out came the drummers and singers! But, Andrew was not a huge fan of all that mess, but the ice cream sundae was yummy! :) We did have to say bye to Nana and Papa after dinner, but we had a great time with them!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well that is all for now! Hope y'all had a great week, too!
Up next: Andrew's 4th Birthday Party!!
